8/16 Ryan Chenoweth Crooked Creek 14 114   Hit a pitching wedge that landed on a ridge about 6 feet past the pin and spun back into the hole. I was playing by myself but play was slow and luckily the gentleman ahead of me witnessed the shot and came over smiling.
8/14 Kristi Piepenbrink Valle Vista 17 108

A member of the Greenwood Girls Golf team in a high school match. Kristi shot a 6 under par 31 on the back nine - a h-i-o, 4 birdies and 4 pars.

In the presence of 4 grandparents, an uncle and cousin visiting from Wisconsin, and her parents, Kristi shot the dream round hitting every fairway, missed one green and never had a putt more than 10 feet. - Ken Piepenbrink, Father and Coach

7/3 Walter Trissler Sahm 4 183 7-wood I had three witnesses, Chris Smothermon, Jack Carroll, and James Coffing to verify it. I hit the ball straight at the pin and it landed 8-10 feet in front of the hole and rolled in. I thought at first that I had rolled off the green for this is a hard par 3 to hold on the green. Jack said it went in and I could not believe it until I found the ball in the cup by its lonesome.
6/30 Bob Kevoian Crooked Stick 13   8-iron Yes, Bob Kevoian of the Bob & Tom Show. It came during the annual Youthlinks Indiana Charity Golf Tournament. LPGA pro Patricia Baxter Johnson witnessed the hole in one.
6/11 David Juskow Saddlebrook 4 122 9-iron It was extra special because the next day I had to have a knee operation which kept me off the links for 6 weeks. It was also special because I was playing with my older son and an associate from work.
5/31 Scott Larsen Timbergate 11 153 8-iron Don Culmann, Paul Buergler, and John Hooten were my playing partners. The day was rather cold and gloomy and somewhat windy. I aimed towards the right side of the green to let the wind bring it back and as it was approaching the green, Don yelled “go in the hole”. Sure enough, the ball hit about 10 feet to the right of the flag, took two hops to the left and then disappeared into the cup. I couldn’t believe it. Don said the expression on my face was priceless. The ace was my first one ever. Now, I’m only one behind my Dad. Even the best golfer in my family, my brother-in-law Allen Hornaday, of ESPN Golf Challenge fame, doesn’t have one. He may have an ESPY but he doesn’t have a hole-in-one! - Scott Larsen
May 18 Bryan Brackemyre West Chase 2 205 5-iron It was looking good the whole way. I just looked down to pick up my tee and when I looked up the ball was gone. I wasn't sure if it went in or not. I thought it might have gone over. I told my Dad to look in the hole. He looked in smiled and pointed down that it was in.
4/29 George Bignotti Cool Lake 12 140 5-iron Yep, that George Bignotti. About a dozen spectators watched the shot.
4/26 Don Allen Hollydot Municipal GC, Colorado City, CO   150   "Weather was warm, sunny and windy. Truly quite a thrill after 50 years of playing that game I really love."

5/24 Jim Williams Deer Creek 3 151 6-iron

1 My friend Paul Feagins and I were playing Hillcrest Country Club, not the one in Indy, the one in Batesville, both equally nice courses. The fourth hole was playing about 160 yards from the whites. The pin was placed back right. The green is sloped from left to right with a small creek on the right and a bunker that covered most of the entrance to the green. Paul pulls out a 7 iron, hits it and instantly yells out "That's Money"....and you guessed it, it was. That SOB had one hop, then right in the cup! This is the second I've witnessed in as many years. I'm still to get mine! I think I'm becoming a little cynical....sorry I can't help it. Anyway, props to my good buddy Paul. - Reported by Paul Richardson

4/14 Martin Seppala Winding Ridge 8 117 9 iron - Wilson Ultra Metal Matrix 2
4/7 Mark Price South Grove 12 147 9 iron - Wilson Ultra Metal Matrix 1

1 During a four-ball tournament. Not only was this Mark's first hole-in-one but it continued the match as they were down 2 with 2 to play. The eventually won the 3rd playoff hole.

2 This was during the Saturday Men's club event.

3 Three friends and myself went to Saddle Brook on May 5th. We took one guy for his birthday and the other cause he never gets to go. On the forth hole, short par 3 about 115, Mike Youngs was playing with his brand new set of clubs. He pulled out his 9 iron which he had never swung before and stuck it three feet in front of the pin and then it rolled in. The ironic thing about it, he was bending down to pick up his tee and never saw it go in. Rather be lucky than good any day. - Pete Lewkowicz.

4 This was during the Amateur Tour of America's event. Bruce is a 21 handicap.

5 Hal Smith of Carmel, playing in the men's club at Wm. Sahm Golf Course on Saturday, 5/19 carded a Hole in One on #14. It was 153 yards with a back right pin. He used a 7 iron which landed 6 feet short and a little to the right, checked, and went in.

Although this was his 5th Ace since 1996, he said he was more excited about this one than any of the others, because his best friend was playing in the group behind him and got to witness it.

Commenting on the 101 year old man in Florida who just became the oldest golfer to ever get a Hole in one by getting his 6th Ace, Smith said "I sure hope I don't have to wait another 49 years for my next one!"

6 I was playing in the mens club at Pleasant Run when the ace occurred. I hit a PW to the 134 yard 13th. It landed about a foot behind the hole, took one bounce, and came back for the ace. - Ron Taylor

7 I would like to mention that on May 30, 2001, on the 11th hole at Pleasant Run, Jim "Bigfoot" Clifford hit a hole in one. It only took Jim 33 years to accomplish his 1st. We told him "Hey, now all you have to do is wait until you're 101 years old and you can have another."

As to buying a round - he certainly did. Everyone that was in the clubhouse and he even recruited the gentlemen outside as this was just before our Wednesday night Navistar
league.- Bill Klare

8 Mike was with his 7-year old son who "more impressed with his own 3 on a 150 yard hole that day".

9 Mike hit a punch 7 iron into wind. He had just tripled the last hole and was quite chagrined as he step to the tee.

1 This is John Delaney's second hole-in-one. The first was in August, 1999 on the same hole.

2 Witnesses include people from Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Philadelphia.

3 The ace occurred on the second hole of the nighttime portion of Cricket Ridge's annual day-night tournament; witnesses on the tee were able to observe the glow disappear, then on the green see the light of the ace from the bottom of the cup!

4 A hole-in-one was made by Anthony Rehmet of Clayton, IN during an outing at Morningstar Golf Club Saturday September 30,2000. Hole number 5 - a seemingly benign 150 yards, was reached by Anthony with a 7 iron. For anyone who has played the hole, you know how rare a hole-in -one is here. The green is designed much like an overturned bowl - and almost as fast as one too! - Steven Seibel, owner, Morningstar, CC

5 This is Jim's 4th hole-in-one and Winding Ridge's first. You can congratulate him at Riverside Academy most times.

1 With a brisk 15mph wind, several large trees protecting the green, Dave decides to punch a 3 iron to the green. With his foursome and mine watching he hits a driving shot into the cross wind directly at the hole. Watching the ball land just short of the green, running at the hole and then disappearing we all assumed it went over the back of the green. Of course, with further investigation, the ball was found in the cup. To further Dave's accomplishments his foursome won the evenings total points game and his Hole-In-One won the only skin for two weeks. To help relieve Dave of his accomplishments he bought beers for all attendees.

2 One of the most difficult par 3 holes in the Greater Indianapolis area is the 15th par 3 at Preswick. On Monday, July 5th, during the annual July 4th BIG Blind Draw Choose-up, which all members struggled in 90 plus heat, Mr. Mike Arlington, a great A Player, rose to the task and hit his tee shot 3 ½ feet short of the pin, in one of the most difficult pin positions. It one-hopped ever so gracefully into the cup for a Hole-In-One. A laser range finder showed the hole was 176 yards. The wind was playing havoc and the temperature was around 93 degrees. If you have ever played Preswick, you know what you face under normal conditions at 15, let alone with pressure. This would be the end of the story, but Mr. Arlington, played the two par 3's at Preswick's back nine, three under par, and never used a putter. He had already chipped in on the par 3 12th for a birdie.

3 I am a Major on the Marion County Sheriff’s Department and an unofficial 17 handicapper. This was the first shot of a golf scramble fund-raiser for the Mayor of Lawrence, Tom Schneider. The 7th hole offered a $10,000.00 prize for any of the golfers that shot a "Hole in One" during the scramble. The green is protected by a large pond to the front and large mounds in the rear. With the wind the hole was playing a little longer than listed, about 155 yards. The shot hit the front of the green and rolled into the hole. The shot was witnessed by two groups of golfers and two "Official" spotters. My group finished one under par. We didn’t win the scramble but dinner and drinks were on me! $10,000.00 - WOW !!!!!!

Bob's ball in the hole - showing cup edge bent downBob triumphantly mugging by the tee sign4 There's always an exhilaration watching a perfectly hit, high shot dropping toward the green. That thrill is surpassed by the clang of the ball wedging itself between the grass and the stick and disappearing into the hole leaving a 1/8" dent in the front left edge of the cup.

A hole-in one. With a witness. And a camera. And a web site to show the pictures.
Priceless.

5 I had my third career hole-in-one, but first in twenty-years (since I was 16), on June 16th at Dykeman GC in Logansport. I aced the 123 yard Third hole with a pitching wedge. The shot was not exactly a classic hole-in-one as I pulled it a little left of the hole. The ball hit the side of a green-side bunker, bounded dead right, and fell into the cup. I'll take it.
Then, I was playing with Rick Galloway, a Real Estate Appraiser here in Logansport, on August 18th at Dykeman where we had been laughing about my name being on the Golf Channel's hole-in-one club the night before. Rick proceeded to ace the 157 yard Ninth hole with an eight iron. Rick's shot was much more exact as it hit once, rolled for a short time and disappeared. It was truly a nice golf shot.
