Our Comments

Busy, popular, short course on the fast-growing SR 37 corridor. 5 of the front nine border the road. Well laid out to keep spaciousness in a limited area.

Active women's club.

A bit of Florida in that mornings are busy with retirees and walkers. Lots of beautiful willow trees.

If your driver is working you'll score well if you remember that willow trees grow only near water.

They make good use of grassy bunkers near greens.

Holes 13, 14, and 15 are all par 3s. This would be disappointing except they are 175, 195, and 175 yard challenges.

5/19/04 - Manicured. With all the rain, the greens are presently smooth, full, holding, soft, and consequently, slow.

9/11/02 - Well groomed. Greens full and soft but not slow.

1/23/04 - Very nice course! The looks are very deceiving, as this course is more challenging than you think. We walked the first time, and then rode 18 the next day (good choice). Relaxed atmosphere. We will continue to play there.

8/11/03 - I shot the best round of my life by 8 strokes. The course design itself is unimaginative and not particularly challenging. Holes 13 through 15 are a series of par 3's. The par 5 holes are the best feature of the course. They have the most water and trees, and use a good combination of doglegs and elevation changes to challenge player's skills. Some of the par 4's were decent as well.

8/7/03 - I have played at Britton almost every weekend this summer and have enjoyed it very much. The staff are very friendly and the course is well maintained and great for the price. Looking forward to the another weekend at Britton. - Eric Vanderwall

8/23/01 - Britton is a nice, easy course with great twilight rates. They do not allow carts out 2 hours or so before sunset.

5/11/01 - We found this little gem last week-end. The course is in great condition and it is the best stocked Pro Shop we've seen. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Everyone made us feel very welcomed. We truly had a very enjoyable afternoon of golf. We will be back as often as possible. We will tell everyone to give Britton a go, you won't be sorry.

4/6/01 - Being new to the area I found Britton by chance. I'm glad I did. The course was in great shape and provided a very enjoyable time. I plan to return as often as time permits this summer.

4/4/01 - I find Britton fun & very enjoyable. The grounds are well kept and the pro shop offers a large variety of golf equipment and clothing. The staff has always been friendly & are very knowledgeable. I plan to play there as often as possible.

3/24/01 - I have played Britton for several years and have found the course always in good condition and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this course to everyone. - Joe Thomas

3/20/01 - I have played this course around five times. I am new at golf and really enjoy the course. The price is right, the layout is pretty open for new players, and the course seems well kept.

Course's Comments

7/4/01 - We have added a swale to our 11th hole (strategically located to come in to play off all the tees), the 12th green has been enlarged, a new tee on #13, and extended the tee on #14. - Chris Lovrine
