Our Comments

5/2/00 - Some of the nicest greens around for the price. They hold well, are moderately slow, putt very true. The dark green, bright green, and brownish mix of grasses is healthy.

The rough and fairways are filled in nicely on some holes and spotty on others. The 2" fairway stops balls but doesn't hide them.

They are unique in having yardages marked in paint on trees.

They have stretched the limits of the grounds in search of yardage. On #3 you'll seemingly leave the property to tee off beside a air-handling unit for the adjacent glass plant.

Hole #8 is a strange par 5. Only 450 yards, it's a 90° dogleg left. Your first shot is over a ditch at 150 yds. This leaves you with less than 200 to the hole. Hmmmmm. They admit it "might be stretching it" to make 450yds.

6/30/03 - Brockway is flood prone due to the creek that runs through it, it will be swampy a day after a very heavy rain.

9/24/01 - The course was in good shape - it is a great course for the price. It is very rare that you can play a round of golf under 3 1/2 hours but here it is not a problem. No, it does not measure up to the courses in Indy but you do not have to deal with all the wannabe pro golfers that take forever to line a putt up or even just hit the ball. It is a great short course you can work all aspects of your game and the greens are excellent.

8/5/01 - The conditions when I played could only be described as a swamp. The grass everywhere but on the greens was over 3" and in some places it was so loose that you could hardly touch it with your club without pulling a 5lb divot. I would have to say that on that day you should have gotten your money back. I will not be playing there again.

1/8/00 - The greens are great. They are slow but are the best in the state for a beginner.

6/26/99 - Harry Cox - A great short course well worth anyone's drive.

This is a great little 9 hole layout.
