9/5/03 - Definitely one of the best courses in the state. This course has more than stood the test of time. For being designed in 1911 this course really challenges even the great players, with tight tree-lined holes that require accurate shots. It's deceivingly longer than the scorecard shows because of its par of 70. Definitely a must play if you ever have a chance. - Chris

9/17/02 - In immaculate condition. This course is no picnic -- Nos. 9 and 18 are devilishly tough finishing holes, while No. 5 might be the toughest hole in central Indiana. Holes 1-4 kind of lull you to start out, but that quickly changes at No. 5 and there's no let up from there. - Jim Miller

8/13/02 - I would put this on the same level or higher as the best in Indiana. It seems to be way out in the country when in fact it's 5 minutes from 465. The greens are downright wicked and no two holes are alike. If you want to play well, make sure you're friendly with your Driver and 4 and 5 irons and that your putter is hot. Great course! - John Cachtoztain

6/25/02 - This course is tough, tough, tough. Fast greens, incredibly tight lies in the fairway, and very narrow fairways. Good condition most of the year, but particularly after the heat diminishes the poa annua in the greens. The par 3's are brutal from the tips - no easy pars out of the three of them. Excellent new pro. I think the best apparel I have ever seen in one pro shop.

4/5/00 - One of the best courses in the country. A secret. A great head pro in Larry Bianco. A great Superintendent in Dennis Madeiros. A great membership. Best Saturday morning a golfer can have. Conditions: superb. Always enjoy the round. - Mark Andrew Zwartynski
