Our Comments

9/11/01 - In perfect condition. Greens are healthy and smooth. Fairways heavy and trimmed. Roughs annoying but not ball-hiding.

You are completely isolated from the world at Killbuck. It is situated in the middle of an enormous park previously owned by GM Delco. Course follows natural terrain.

Six 400yd par 4s from the white tees make it a long course.

Designed well to give shade (and a bench) at every tee - at least at the blue and white tee boxes.

Excellent access for physically challenged golfers - carts can get close to tees and greens and at same ground level.

Look for the llama along the third fairway.

It's not often you see cart rules of "scatter" but that's the norm here.

8/10/03 - Killbuck has and nice facility and staff and they always treat everyone with courtesy.

6/2/03 - Killbuck is a great little hidden gem. Virtually nobody on the course and only $22 to walk and $34 to ride on the weekends. Very, very easy walk. Without question the best value I have ever played. Course is very fair but still a excellent challenge. It was built in the 70's by GM with the intentions of bringing in a US Open. Short for today's US Open standards but still pretty good length (6466 from whites, 6745 from blues). - J Lucky

6/1/02 - Great value, best greens anywhere this year. Already making the trip again next week. 45 minute drive but will worth it. Beautiful, mature, course. MH

5/17/01 - Fairways are in excellent condition, greens are top notch. Can fly at the flag with confidence. Staff is helpful and courteous. Best play for your dollar in central Indiana.

5/13/01 - The course is in great condition, the personnel are extremely friendly and it is the best golf bargain in central Indiana, if not the entire state.

4/1/01 - This course is in great condition! Donnie: great job! Fairways are looking very good, greens are too, and you guys have the most friendly cart boys around! I WILL play this course again - no doubt about it! - mm

9/4/99 - In excellent condition compared to the other courses in the area. Some of the rough obviously needed water, but the fairways and the greens were in great shape. They were green, and the greens were soft and it was easy to get good shots to stick on them. I have played 5 different courses in the past 3 weeks, and none of the other courses came close to being in the same type of shape that Killbuck was in.

The above was after 6 weeks of hot, dry conditions. - Ed.

4/8/99 - I found it to be a very good course. Play was quick and the course reasonably challenging. It was in good condition for early April. Staff was very attentive. I'd play it again.
