Our Comments

5/20/01 - The greens are very slow but that makes putting easier. At $10 to play all day on weekdays, $12 on weekends, it's the least expensive place in town to give your short game a workout. With water on 7 holes and sand on 6, it's not a pushover.

Also available: Batting Cages, Basketball Court, Miniature Golf, Driving range with heated stalls. It's truly a "family fun center".

The course does not return to the clubhouse after 9 holes.

The course, with the addition of 9 longer holes in 1999, plays as 4 very short par 3s for warm-up, followed by 9 holes that you can play as pars 3 or 4, followed by the last 5 short par 3s to prove you've improved your short game.

With the "unlimited" pricing, many people play the middle section again if the course isn't busy.

8/3/04 - This is an amazing course. it has the nicest ownership and staff in all of Indiana. It's great for playing with any kind of skill level and I would recommend it to anyone. - Michael

7/7/03 - As a beginning golfer, I don't know what I would do without Otte Golf 5 minutes from my house. For me it's not just a place to work on your short game, it's a great place to work on all aspects of my game. The "back 9" is a place that I pull out my driver a lot, and expect to until my game gets significantly longer. Very family friendly, they always have a good set of Junior clubs to loan out when my son needs them. Unlimited play is a big bonus for this terrific little course that does a LOT with your $12 greens fee. - Andrew Short

7/7/03 - The greens and fairways aren't exactly perfect but it is a very nice course, you can't beat the prices. A nice course for someone beginning and the owner of this course is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Enjoyable. - Michael

6/30/03 - This is a great place to play whether you are a good golfer or just starting off. Hole #6 is a bit more challenging then you would expect on a course like this, but that's half the fun. If you just have a couple of hours to play this is the course for you.

9/17/01 - The back nine has matured nicely and you won't find very many bare spots. They have done a marvelous job in tending to the grounds, especially considering the traffic that they endure. The staff has always been extremely friendly and helpful and has bent over backwards to help and accommodate my 6-year old son getting started with the game. The watersand still makes it challenging for the regular player. The greens are well kept and usually on the slow side so the ball bites good. With the unlimited play, you can't beat the price! - Keith Bolin

4/27/00 - Now 18 hole par 59 exec course. Has its flaws but is coming around. Gets attention by staff. Easy walking. It's a fun course, and can be played in a couple of hours (twosome). We don't have enough golf in northern Johnson County.
