Our Comments

Good walking course with a loyal clientele.

Surprising to see such great conditions (especially the greens) at a course built, essentially, in a farmyard.

The long par 3s and a tough par 5 will challenge anyone. The other 6 holes are very parrable. Overall, a good test of skills.

Very friendly management that is very catering to their customers.

9/27/01 - Greens are fairly fast and smooth. Fairways are full.

10/18/03 - This has become my local club after moving to the area. For me as a beginner it is ideal, the fairways are nice and wide so there is plenty room for mistakes. The first four holes are nice and easy and allow the less confident player to ease into a game, the last five holes are real fun, and hole 9 is pretty difficult. The greens are always excellently managed, not too fast or complicated but remain challenging. The custodians are extremely nice people. This is a great course for all players but especially to bring someone who is new to golf, there is never a great rush at this course and beginners can feel relaxed and not pushed into playing their round.  - James Cormack

6/10/03 - This is a very interesting and unpretentious 9-holer. Although the fairways are a little rough and sparse, this is more than made up for by the pristine, heart-shaped greens and by the presence of some very interesting and distinct holes. The last four holes are just wonderful, fun to play, and make for a great finish. This course is just a few miles from Brownsburg and offers a fun round of golf for the same cost as a bucket of balls at a driving range. - Nick Law

9/4/02 - I'm an avid player of this little 9 holer, probably 50-60 rounds in the past 2 years. The course is usually is in decent shape fairway-wise but the greens are rarely in bad shape, for Aaron takes great care of them. I enjoy playing here just for the fact that the course isn't something you have to study the map on but it still is challenging. Some of the yardages are trickier than the marker shows. Holes 6 thru 9 more then make up for the ease of holes 1-4. Number 6 alone is notorious for claiming many a 4 or 5 on my card and only 2 pars. Main reason for it to be one of my favorites. - Danny Shreves

9/24/01 - Course is usually in good shape. Aaron is always friendly as well as his wife. I have played probably 40+ rounds there this year and its always a challenge. I enjoy the lack of crowds but don't care for the 235 par 3 6th other then that its just fine.

6/13/01 - Great course for the beginner and for those who don't like to feel pressured. Watch out on holes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 for tee shots from parallel holes. #6 par three is a challenge, if you fade the ball, you'll probably make 4. Fairways usually aren't great (no watering system), but the greens are small and roll pretty true when Aaron cuts them (occasionally they are shaggy). One of the friendliest courses around, and the price is outstanding.

7/8/00 - Pleasant surprise - very nice course. 8th hole par 3 a tuffy only 136yds but it is across water guarded by mature trees. Only complaint is no water on course to drink -  the temp was in the 90's. Another good thing if you are regular: every 8th game is free.

6/5/99 - The course is good for the price...an excellent beginner course. We've been followed more than once by the manager, who was gathering flags after we putted!.

Aaron always picks up the flags after the last golfer or they become trophies for local high school guys. - ed.

Almost a backyard course. No fancy frills, just good practice. Good course for beginners because errant shots are not unduly penalized.
